We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.
What is a Connection Group?
-A group of 2-10 people that connect once a month for a social gathering time and pray for each other consistently throughout the month.
-It is likely that inside each Connection group there will be smaller groups of people that will meet more frequently for things like coffee, lunch, fishing, biking, Bible or book studies, and/or serving in the community.
Why be in a Connection Group?
Connecting with others is an essential part of maturing in Christ. It creates opportunities for deeper fellowship and spiritual growth. Connection Groups create an atmosphere for people to Love, Learn, and Live the Gospel in community with "Gruth" (Grace & Truth) and to share life with others who share the same vision & mission.
How long do Connection Groups last? Who leads the group?
-There is no specific schedule for Connection Groups. A group could meet for one month, three months, 6 months, one year, or more. It is all about connecting in whatever ways are possible and realistic!
-There is not necessarily one designated leader of the group, but it is helpful to have someone to be the hub of the group. That person can reach out to the group to organize the monthly social gathering and to distribute information.
Attend any of the ministry gatherings listed below, in the bulletin, at the HUB, complete a connection card or just ask someone.
