Missionary Profile: Jude Johnson
Introducing Jude Johnson, a member of the 2024 Mexico missions team from Stony Brook Church.
About Me
Hey everyone, my name is Jude Johnson, and I am the MB Central District Intern. I am also on the worship team where I play drums, guitar, and sing a majority of Sundays. I am starting to step in as the NextGen director, overseeing the middle school and high school, but right now my main priority is prepping on Thursdays before everyone gets there and preaching for the middle schoolers. When I'm not helping with youth, I am usually reading different preaching books, studying the Bible, helping with different things in the worship center, and helping out wherever needed in the church.
Mission Trip
When I was first connected to Stony Brook Pastor Jon Annin for this internship opportunity, one of the first questions I had for him was, "Will there be any mission trips I get to be part of?" I have always wanted to go on an out of the country mission trip and when he told me that we would be going to Mexico, I was thrilled. I've been excited for the last 4 months to go and I am getting more excited as it gets closer. I had been on smaller mission trips before, but I have always felt that God was calling me to go on mission trips in other countries to help plant seeds of faith. As the trip draws near, I keep feeling a sense of change-that God is going to truly impact the members of our team-and I am very willing and openhearted to the change that I know God will bring in my life because of it. I also have felt that God is going to help me grow in relationships with the other members going on this trip, so I am truly thankful for the people surrounding me on this team and I can't even express just how excited I am.
