Sent to Serve, Go, and Grow
We are excited to share that the 12-person team from Stony Brook Church is on the way to Eldoret Kenya for an extraordinary time of ministry, service, and partnership.
This trip is more than a journey across the world. It is an opportunity to come alongside brothers and sisters in Christ, build relationships, encourage local ministry efforts, and serve in practical ways that reflect the love of Jesus. Our team represents a variety of ages, gifts, and experiences, but we are united by one shared purpose: to be available for whatever God has prepared. Whether through children’s ministry, encouragement, worship, hands-on service, prayer, or simply showing up with open hearts, we are eager to serve and learn.
As we begin our flight, we are reminded that mission work is never just about going somewhere. It is about being faithful wherever God sends us. We go not as experts, but as servants. We go to encourage, but also expect to be encouraged. We go to bless, knowing that we will likely receive far more than we give. Please be praying for our team in the weeks ahead. Pray for safe travel, good health, unity, flexibility, and open doors. Pray also for the people we will meet in Kenya, that our time together would be filled with joy, encouragement, and the presence of Christ.
We are grateful for the support, prayers, and encouragement of our church family. Thank you for being part of this mission with us. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” — Romans 10:15
